Just wanted to post a couple Re-Veg pics in follow up to another members post describing how he re-vegged. Thought you guys would find the bud reverting interesting.
Looks like she is gonna do great right? Well three of those branches slowly died off leaving the stock looking like this.
I recommend you repot after they’ve grown 6-8 inches. I found the original root ball needed some dead roots taken off.
Hey as long as they come back who cares how they look lol. I’ve had some pretty ugly monster crop plants turn out fire. Congrats on bringing her back. Thats not easy for most growers.
Thanx buddy! Look back it was a nail bitter at times and is a bit of an up hill battle. I was tying with a gorgeous grapefruity, delicious purple haze at the same time and it died. I discovered the root was all balled up and rotten in the middle. I think I gave her too much water 😕, that was a hard loss…..that grapefruit taste would linger for the longest time after a puff of her beauty dry sift.
Something I think really helps is cutting them back gradually, not one big harvest. If I have to reveg, I switch back to 24 or 18/6 lighting for the last two weeks or so. Then I take top buds on the early side of ripe, and then raise plants closer to light. Then I take one or two buds a day, trying to get a good shape. If nothing is revegging, I stop harvesting buds even though they may be over-ripening. Eventually they send leaves out and I’ll try to get some of the last flowers out because I’m a cheapskate. As you say, unpotting or at least root prune and replace some soil helps the regrowth.
(I have an ethos lilac diesel revegging right now!)
Nay Hay,
Total agreement on the slow chop… spread out the stress. I have seen pictures of plants revegging after the plant was taken down to the stump, but have had no success doing that. I left a few stalks on, kept the buds until I have new vegatative growth and then pinch off all the buds… easy on watering and juice it up with some nitrogen!!!
