Am I too late to do major defoliation and cut clones? Outdoor Michigan.

  Old you can defoliate till week 3 in flowering latest. If it’s not in week 2 of Flowering you can clone it.

    You can clone a full blown bud if youd like to have that experience its just going to take much more time and youll see a ton of funky shit grow before you can get another clone off of it. Only suggested if you really really want to keep it. I had to once with a sour diesel from the early 2000s ive got and its not the most fun lol

You’re good. You have plenty of time left to recover from defoliation. I’m not into cutting off branches in flower (you should have thought ahead) but stripping the plant, even a heavy one is fine through the stretch period of flowering. The better the light, the quicker the recovery. I prefer to do defoliation a day after I have fed / watered the plants. I want them to be internally healthy and strong for the strip.
