My auto gelato is in almost week 6 but isn’t even a foot tall yet. Also the leaves are starting to turn a yellowish color and they seem small. I’m growing them in Fox Farm Happy Frog and I’ve been using only spring water and Recharge.

The best breeders sell bunk seeds. Not their fault. You can only blame the parents. You can’t just take credit for your good kids. I’ve known some families where all the kids were fucked up. The universe is random. Don’t feel too bad. Only money was wasted and not too much time and money. Some photo-period growers spend months vegging and then flowering a plant to find out it’s terrible. So on the flip side, don’t spend months vegging a seedling. I take a cut to flower asap.

That’s exactly what I was thinking Killzone, looks exactly like mine from them did. I ended up getting 4 out of the 10 seeds I got to actually pop and they were all runts. It’s all good I thought trying an auto would be fun but not so much. I’ll stick to photos for now.
They should start calling them fast duds instead. It still blows me away that James bean would put them on his site, but I guess if it pays the bills.

I don’t usually PH unless there is an issue. It’s naturally alkaline spring water. Last time I tested it was alkaline. “Crystal Geser”
Happy frog will only feed it for a short time. There’s not much nutrients in it. As far as stunting goes some just do that and it’s nothing you did wrong.
Yessir, that looks like a bad seed. Not all auto breeders are the same. Obviously I don’t know what breeder you chose but I‘ve had very good, and consistent, luck with Mephisto, Dinafem and Dutch Passion. I know some really great Autoflower grower that recommend breeders from the Autoflower Portal over on Autoflower.net. The AFN community is friendly with the DGC and the breeders represented in portal are cutting edge breeders that specialize in autos. I believe many are US based, as well. Growers Choice is US based and they have some reliable strains but I don’t care for some of their personal actions so I haven’t run them myself. Hope these recommendations help.
