What’s up guys and gals
I’m setting up a new text and wanna get suggestions for fixture heights in all stages from seedling to flowering. I purchased a 4×8 tent with a HLG 600 rspec and an HLG blackbird . Should I hang them all the way to the ceiling and adjust the light levels with the dimmer, or should I raise and lower the lights according to the plants heights and stage? This tent is going in a sealed room (12’ x 16’ ) with a mini split and CO2.

I know they all have manufacturer specs for heights but I was looking more for a growers that I had used these fixtures and what worked well for them! Thanks man
I have an HLG 600 Rspec (in a 5×5) and I keep it at least 36 inches above canopy of larger vegging plants and dimmed down to about 50% but I am using it as a veg/autoflower light so the vegging plants don’t need it that intense. And small plants I probably keep about 48 inches away. If you are flowering you could get closer than 36 inches but you’d need to be aware of light/heat stress. I wouldn’t get any closer than 24 inches with the Rspec personally. It’s an intense light.
