Blackout jars

What up DGC, does anybody know where to get some blacked out jars? I got those infinity jars but they are to expensive, 207 bucks for 10. I can’t lie they’re fucking great but damn.

ps don’t drop one and break it like me 🤦🏾‍♂️

    Do you have a dark drawer to store the jars in?

    Sorry, I’ve not seen where to buy totally blacked out jars.

      I keep them in a wine fridge. I guess I could get the glass front tinted.

      Yes but they won’t fit in my little fridge I do love those.

    What about spray painting reg jars. I sprayed a jar with flex seal to black it out to keep my recharge in to keep the light out.

      I sprayed a couple jars with some plastic dip, it does the job really good and the added benefit is if you drop it, it should stay mostly together and you should be able to salvage some of your harvest without glass shards but i have not tried dropping one to test the theory.

        Also Menards usually has cheap but real mason jars compared to the ones on amazon or walmart. I use the half gallon jars

          You can get everything at Menards, if you already have the jars you can go to any home center or auto parts store to get plasti dip or flex seal, they are sprayabale so i just did a few light coats and it was good

    I always just spray painted them. Couple coats of matte black/brown/pick your color and there you go. $5.00 solution.

      Spray painted mason jars. Just seal with the lid/ring, turn upside down and spray away.

        Do you prep the glass it seams like the paint would be hard to keep on the smooth glass.

          You can lightly sand it with a little 600-grit just to frost it a little before spraying but shouldn’t really need to. Spray Paint sticks to glass well enough. Paint should stick fine unless you’re always banging ’em up, just don’t bang em around.
