My outdoor of autoflowers was doing amazing and last week here in MA we got clobbered with rain and humidity. I had fans going in the greenhouse however I started to see bud rot, only lost about 3 nugs off each plant so not too bad. I decided that considering the weather it was harvest now, or i might lose it all to this stupid humidity, over 90% RH. Brutal. Now I’m hanging the bud. Only took off large leaves, temp is 73 to 75 degrees F. And Rh is 55% to 62%. They have been drying for 2 days, I was not able to flush, hay smell is present but not super strong. I’d appreciate any tips on what to do in this situation in terms are dry and cure, also tips on what to do with the flower once it is done curing, edibles extracts etc.
Thanks!
aj
I personally wouldn’t risk smoking mold. I would just make water hash with it now. No need to dry it. You can wash it now so the mold doesn’t have a chance to spread while drying. Humidity over 60% can cause the mold to keep growing.
Thanks for the reply jmystro, i combed over every bud and destroyed those that were infected. Never was any bud really totally gone, I really had to pay attention to notice it. Some of them only had a single leaf coming out of the bud that were rotting so I’m pretty confident that i can dry and cure it without the spread of mold. But I do want to go the concentrate route. What do you think about dry ice hash?
