Build a $1000 Grow

If you had 1,000 bucks and could build a grow how would you do it? I personally would love some ideas and recommendations thank you.

I would go with a 600w HPS setup in a 4×4 or maybe 5×5 tent so I could afford all my environmental equipment and such. Then upgrade the light down the road….. that’s actually my true story.

4×4 tent $100, two 315 CMH $330, AC infinity cloudline T6 $150, small humidifier $40, fans $50, dank genetics $50-$150

That’s the meat and potatoes. At that point you’re under $800, room to spare for pots, saucers, soil, and a fertilizer.

Like coach Steve mentioned. Plan to slowly build things up. If you want to go led possibly a diy a setup or start with only have the space being utilized. Start with a decent tent the size you want, ventilation, carbon filter if needed. Look at some type of monitoring at least temp humidity weather station deal. Figure out what style of grow you want to go with. Get pots, fabric bags or bed. Medium and nutrients. Quality genetics. Buy stuff on the cheap side will end up costing you down the line. So best to start small and build up your inventory as you go. A 1000$ will go quick. Haven’t even touched on environmental like humidifier, dehumidifier, ac or even heater depending on location of grow. Might start with a4x4 tent but only utilizing a 2×2(1/4th) space until you can get everything you need to fill it out. Ac infinity fan will be a good start as it has controls to dial in temps. Otherwise a cheaper fan will need a seperate temperature controller. I would start with a list of everything you want/need and just see what you can get to start growing.

Kidding! I agree to the above statements by my fellow dgc. Get a tent and light for around $500, spend $100 or so on genetics if a newbie aim for feminized seeds and use the rest of your funds for temp, rh eqiup/controls, soil/medium and food!

You in a basement? or somewhere more climate controlled? just trying to think of some of your potential setbacks for instance if in a basement and its wintertime temp is an issue. Maybe you need a humidifier or maybe a dehumidifier depending on the plants stage or time of year.

That’s should cover about everything you need for your first run. Pretty sure that adds up to almost exactly $1k
