I’ve recently bought a hydro farm c02 meter for my grow tent. My grow tent is in my unfinished basement and I’m getting readings that range from 1000-1500 ppm (which should be a good range) without supplement. I have recalibrated multiple times to be sure, but every time I check, its in those ranges, I do it at random to be sure it’s not from my huffing and puffing. Just curious, wondering why such high ppm and hoping there’s not a serious issue I’m not realizing, tia guys

    That range is great for plants and ok for humans. CO2 becomes toxic to us around 5000 ppm.

    Yup this is normal. Humans and gas appliances make co2, and over time it will build up in occupied buildings. co2 is heavy and will gradually sink down to the basement.

    My area is in my basement and my co2 is always about 1500-2000. In the morning right a soon as the lights come on its way high 2000-3000ppm from respiring then they eat it up within a few hours. But they never use below 1500 usually. If i open windows upstairs it will go to 600-700ppm within an hour or two so be careful when in flower pushing plants i feel like moving from high to low ppm quickly could fuck up their metabolism. I’m flowering now and I don’t need to use bottles when widows are closed just spring and fall time.
