As of now there are 11 recreational adult use cannabis states. With New York, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Illinois possibly legalizing adult use in 2020. 47 of the 50 states some form of medical cannabis. South Dakota, Nebraska, and Idaho have no medical use of cannabis in any form and remain completely illegal. Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming have CBD only medical cannabis laws. 26 out of the 50 states have legalized or decriminalized medical cannabis with laws that have high THC flower, concentrates and edibles.
