What’s up DGC,
So trimming is a nightmare for me as I trim about 6 plants (at least 8-10oz each) myself, and has to be done in 4 days due to my busy schedule. So I was going to buy a trim machine …nope that’s too much money and probably ruin my buds and trichomes.
I was watching BAS YouTube video today, and Jeremy showed off a trimming tool called CannaBrush. I watched couple YouTube vids of homegrowers using it and then they cleaned the buds up with scissors. I was worried about it pulling trichomes as you brush, but they claim this “Turns out silicone is naturally resin resistant.”
Anyone use this? Thinking if getting one to cut down trimming time. So my question is it worth it?
Haha just watched that shiz last night have one in my amazon cart lol. I’m not sure its worth it but for 25$ I know I’ve spent more money than that for silly things for this hobby haha. I’ll probably get one when I’m close to harvest. For 25$ and if Jeremy is backing it I think it should be alright.
Crocker has you covered….. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DM6j165JWeMo&ved=2ahUKEwiR58mpm_LxAhXG_7sIHd2LCpcQjjgwAHoECAMQAg&usg=AOvVaw1qu9r0l42M-IIH2EKUK0Is
A mere dollar compared with 25 dollars. “Vote woth your dollars!” (Scotty Real voice).
Thank you watched it, ill try I Basting brush first.
Haha shut my mouth. Looks like Ill be trying betty crocker first for sure lol
I have this product. I only paid 795 at the grow shop. They said it was invented around here or something though so maybe I got some introductory price. But turd slingers right. It’s basically a silicone basting brush. If I had $25 to spend on trimming equipment I would definitely get the curved Chickamasa 500 scissors. So this works for some stuff. You’re not getting out of scissor work. The bud Hass to be quite dry for it to be effective at all. I must hold my bud together very well with quite a bit of hand action so it doesn’t break it all apart. Depending on your bud structure, this could be a real nightmare or Super handy. The best way to use it is to brush all the birds then go over them with scissors to catch everything you missed. One thing this brush loves to do is brush most of the leaf material and leave the vein. I like having it in my toolbox but I would not buy it again
Also I collect all of my try combs in my bin. I cannot say I fully believe that it does not damage them. So make sure you at least try to collect them
I merely guided your eyes away from the sanke oil bro!
Merely guided your eyes from the snake oil bro!
Got my silicone basting brush out and sure as hell it works pretty damn good. The link from Megah4g sold the deal and yes trimming 1/2” from a regular silicone basting brush helps. Great post. Happy Growing 🙂
Recharge the Fourth Macronutrient
Just think how many carpal tunnel and repetitive use problems from trimming this can reduce. Of course a 2-stage system is needed for bag appeal, first brushing then finish trim but for personal it going to save time and hopefully trichomes. Happy Growing 🙂
Thanks that’s what I wanted to do. I just wanted this to brush of most the sugar leaves, finish with scissor and into curing jar.
Your welcome 😇
Buy a cheap ass silicone brush in the kitchen section at Walmart. Shorten the length of the brush cutting some off with scissors. Not quite half and it works better. Just used mine last night.
