Hey DGC-
I’m having major issues with my Chem 91 plant. She is clone only, so don’t want to lose her. I’ve grown her out a couple times before, and she isn’t the easiest plant to grow, but I haven’t had these problems before. At first there was just yellowing in the veins of the leaves. I assumed a Cal or Mag issue and recently started supplementing with a Cal-Mag supplement, but now I’m getting these red/burned spots everywhere. My regimen is BioBizz Lite soil and Bio Bizz nites + recharge and mammoth microbes. Bridgelux LEDs made DIY from Rapid LED. Any thoughts? Can I save my gal? Thanks.
Have to ask….are you aware the feed chart is in ML per Liter and not per gallon?
Tell me about your water source and what size pots?
So many variables to give you a definite answer. They look to be underfed or a pH way out of range.
Some more info would help.
I have had this happen before. Looks extremely similar. You said you have grown it out a couple times. You mean you revegged this plant right?
I bet you have a ph or nute lockout. What is you runoff ppm. I used to make the mistake of not watering to runoff enough every time and I would get this kind of growth. Make sure you are running at least enough water through your plants to wash the old salts or nutes out. My plants would be looking good then all of a sudden start this and I always added more calmag. That wasnt helping an Coach Steve or Mystro one told me to check the runoff and sure enough it was up way over 4K erroring my meter. A good flush brought them right back. I used coco though so I am not sure about flushing your medium may wanna ask about that but this is exactly what my plants looked like when the nutes built up. It could also be your ph is way off I have had that happen as well. Even though I was phing my water my runoff was wildly off.
Also how big is your pot? How long has it been in that soil without repotting?
Thanks guys. So, a new factor in this . I remembered that a few days ago I foliar Ed this one plant with CalMag foliar with the lights on, as I was a little lit, I didn’t think of that being a problem. I foliar with Optic with lights on and it never does anything. Can the spots just be burn?
On the other hands the leaves definitely have a deficiency., I am watering with the BioBizz at converted L to Gl ratios. I haven’t been measuring PH as I figured the Recharge would balance that out. My four other plants look perfectly healthy..
The plant is in a 3 gallon aero pot . My water source is Portland tap ran through a Boogie Blue Plus Filter attached to my hose. To test runoff, I put water out of the filter through las5 night at 7.1 PH and it came out at 6.9.
spots could be from as you suggested, foliar feed with to intense a light.
Either way man those plants are hungry or locked out.
Whats the ppms of your run-off or nute mix?
If you have fresh dirt, put her in a fresh batch so that you can use water only for a few weeks. New soil will have plenty of food in it and could help you hit the “reset” button if you will. Use recharcge in veg and mammoth i n bloom since you have both, save your money by not using both at the same time. Recharge will make N more available and Mammoth Pk which is ideal for bloom.
Thanks BBB. I do have some soil will refresh her. And thanks for the tips on Recharge and Mammoth!
