Hey guys, I plan on drying in a 2×4 tent. Is there any issue with putting a dehumidifier in the tent?
Dehumidifier in drying tent

No problem. As long as it is not removing too much moisture. You want about 60%RH. I’m often trying to add humidity when I dry
Not necessary. I use a carbon filter fan in my tent and even that seems like it’s too much suction and removing terpenes.
I would just zip up the vertical zipper but leave the other ones and vents open. Keep a small fan inside the tent and dry that way in a cold room. Unless of course you live somewhere humid.
Over the summer I needed a dehu in a small tent to dry. Didn’t work well because of all the heat the dehu generated. Basically it would warm up to 90s and so the relative humidity became low, and it would click off. It hardly collected any water in the small space, and basically it worked as a heater.
In the end I put the dehu in the room, cranked up the AC, and ran a fan exhausting the tent through a carbon filter to pull in dry air on a timer.
Well this answer in my opinion ⬆️
I tried it, had same problem in a 4×4, too hot.
This time I had better success with the ten closed dehu and humidifier in room battling, and a small exhaust fan on low removing air the 1st 5 days (small oscillating below hanging plants to move air on low). Then I tried removing the exhaust after 5 or so days to try and keep the humidity in the tent more, instead of expunge it out (it helped keep the tent at 60/60 longer towards the end of the dry, your drying environmentmay vary).
Best of luck!

I always try to keep my dehumidifier outside of the tent. If you have a large enough one control the outside of the tent. A dehumidifier in a drying tent is going to crest heat when running.
