I talked to a friend of mine that didn’t go back to work after COVID. She said she would rather have less money than work a job that she hates. She has 2 kids and sees what she’s missing. She was an administrative assistant at a real estate company. The economy needs people spending money. They don’t want you saving! They don’t want you to be content. They want you to feel like you need this to make you happy. When you’re broke it’s easy for advertisers to convince you that if you just buy this thing it will be your ticket to happiness.
