(5000mg vitamin c powder) I’m Hoping you or Guru could elaborate on this practice as I have been using it for my current grow and it seems to be working. I read you only have to wait 10 minutes after adding AND another bonus… It brings my 8.0 PH tap water down to between 6.5-7.0! I’d like to know if there are any bad side-effects, any reason not to use with Recharge, Grow Dots or in compost teas? Thanks for any info.

Vitamin C- effectively neutralizes chlorine and is safer to handle than sulfur-based dechlorination chemicals. The sodium ascorbate form of vitamin C has less affect on pH than the ascorbic acid form.

It takes about 1,000 mg of vitamin C (ascorbic acid form) to remove chloramines from 40 gallons of water.
