Cannabinoids like THC and CBD, found in cannabis, have been found to interact with gut bacteria and contribute to a balanced gut microbiome. Research indicates that they can inhibit the growth of certain pathogenic bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes, helping maintain gut health by controlling harmful bacteria. Cannabidiol (CBD), the main non-psychoactive component of cannabis, has demonstrated antimicrobial properties against Gram-positive bacteria and, for the first time, selectively killed a subset of Gram-negative bacteria, including the urgent threat pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae. With antimicrobial resistance posing a significant challenge to modern medicine, CBD and its analogs show promise as a much-needed new class of antibiotics. CBD’s primary mode of action appears to be membrane disruption, and it has been found to be effective against biofilms, with little propensity to induce resistance. These findings highlight the potential of cannabinoids as candidates for future antimicrobial treatments.

SLOWBURN – Glass is a nono for a constant smoker. Imagine after every third sesh you have to clean the damn thing. And how you gonna clean all those fancy curves on the glass?
