This is my first auto, a GDP from Beaver seeds. Grew her outdoors in FFOF with grow dots, recharge and Silica in a 3g fabric pot. She is on day 72 with advertised flower time of 9-10 weeks. Had some amber when I got home from the DGC cup on Sunday and planned to harvest this weekend.
Early this week , I started getting these white hair clusters popping up all over, both upper and lower buds. Not being familiar with the strain, I don’t know if this is normal. Is this a sign of stress or do I let her go longer? I’m in no hurry but don’t want to over-ripen.
P.S. shout out to the dgc crew for the hard work put into planning the cup. Best birthday party I’ve ever had.
The structure is genetic and she’s far from finished. At least 2 weeks away.
Wow there’s no color to her at all. every GDP I’ve grown the buds have turned purple. Sometimes the leaves also. I had that exact thing happen on the first batch of GSC I ever did. Hell those nugs even remind me of GSC more than GDP maybe they mixed you up lol. There’s no mistaking GDP’s grape n gas tho. On the GSC it happened to she did it twice actually. First time was right when she should have finished and I was like ok guess you’re not done yet. Then she did it again when I gave her again week and I was like ok you playin with me now and I chopped her. Good batch but she smoked like I had chopped early so I’d give it as long as you’re willing to risk.
I’mma just let it ride then since the light is free. Interesting thing about the seed company is that they intentionally breed for colder climates so I wonder if that might have something to do with the lack of purple and it not being cold here right now?
Looks like ILGM GSC autos to me lol
here’s what the GSC looked like when it did that: https://i.imgur.com/gleXqJJ.jpg
Yep, she ain’t done. She still wants to get pregnant. She is sending out some new fresh girl parts. Her last ones did not attract no men. Or her daddy was sitting out front with the shotgun. Nature funny
As everyone says she has time to go. There is more of this looser structured bud being seen these days. Hash makers and extract makers prefer this type of structure because it washes well. Having more calyx surface exposed allows more triches to be collected. Also stressors to the plant can cause fox-tailing. But if your environment and inputs are on point it’s likely genetic.✌🏼
Be sure you’re checking out the trichs on calyces and not on leaves, the trichs on leaves will ripen faster than the ones on and in the buds.
