In Australia also and keen for recharge, have seen a product in Bunnings by Searles called Recharge, but obviously not the DGC or Real Growers brand, no idea if its similar.
Am trying a product by Langleys called Troforte CRF Superfeeder from local Nursery (not avail at Bunnings) is a 3 month controlled release microbes and natural minerals
Its just not an immediate plant available source of microbes.
Also have experience in how AQIS, Biosecurity and Import/Export operate, the process for getting anything that could affect the Biosecurity is lengthy, the import process & costs will ultimately drive up product price, also transport and warehousing costs, plus value of AUD.
Oh dude we should chat some more. I know allllllll about it. I was actually the first one to approach AQIS about seed treatment for importing medicinal cannabis seed stocks and live cannabis plant imports, I was part of the team that formed the first licenced medicinal cannabis company in australia. AQIS were actually stumped that their paperwork allowed for it, but they actually weren’t sure about how it was going to work. The big hiccup was due to the US end where any agency involved in federal customs, biosecurity or transportation was a federal agency and could not knowingly handle any form of cannabis. Snap! Damn that ridiculous schedule 1 status. Aurora ended up buying in and providing genetic material some 12 months later, and Australia has a more parallel trade and customs relationship with Canada, being part of the commonwealth so no issue there.
I know we can order from amazon and it will be shipped out of the US but I just have reservations regarding that.
I’ll have a look at that Searles product at Bunnings later today as I have to go there anyway. 2 buds=both stoned.
The fundamental reason I’ve remained a salt-based cultivator here is the lack of quality inputs, like how many grow shops sell molasses, worm casting, fish and bone meal, diatomaceous earth, sphagnum peat, alfalfa meal, fresh base soil mixes? Next to none. I’m good friends with the dude who makes Biodiesel and was a tester for his Green Diamond line which is a really great hybrid (salt-based with organic additives), but he’s personally a no-till guy and gets great results, but good soil mixes are only just coming on the market now, and without sufficient quality raw amendments available, I’m just hesitant to go all the way and cross over completely. But when I do…
The main reason I wont order through amazon is I’ve been flagged/inspected too many times importing shit including seeds(lost quite a few in transit at customs) and I dont want to attract any attention for obvious reasons and also half-expecting it to get knocked back by AQIS for exactly the reasons you mentioned. btw what state you in? I’m in nsw.
I’m friendly with one of the main importer/distributors in the hydro game and may be able to have a chat with him. His company already bring in heaps of product from north america, including organics (Green Planet for example), so I’m happy to connect him if Scotty doesn’t have a more direct connection here already.
Was once a proud NSWelshman, but dwell nth of border in the tropics.
A local medical weed research company has just been granted a green light to start producing Farm To Pharma cannabis.
Hopefully thats the start…
I’d suggest visiting landscaping or nursery type places too, they may stock something similar to what your local grow shop doesn’t stock, just won’t be indoor gardening specific.
Molasses from supermarket (baking aisle) or in bulk from cattle or horse feed shop, its just sugar,
Check gumtree ads for worm tea/castings, or get a worm farm for bulk continuous supply.
Most of it applies to organic based farming, even ask local primary producers alternatives they could be using to suit your needs.
I made a soil from mix of coco coir, mushroom compost, perlite, organic potting mix, perlite and sand, threw in a handful of that shit I mentioned early for good luck.
Sorry man, but that’s the exact problem, to source quality inputs for an organic cannabis grow, I’m not running around visiting what will be 8-10 suppliers to get what I would be able to buy in-house at 1 supplier if we had a catered market. I understand where you’re going, but dude, I’ve been to grow shops in the US, we’re just starved for choice here, it’s just hydro or do it yourself here. No organics aisle in our grow shops here, maybe an organic corner on a shelf.
And No, I don’t believe organic growing should be considered a ‘niche’ market sector, as it’s where we all as home growers should be going, I just wont waste my time and petrol (gas ain’t cheap in Oz bro!) chasing unreliable organic inputs from all over the state. I’m not in a capital city, so options are limited at best, unfortunately..
With regard to med research on Cannabis in Australia, they’re quick to grant licences to cultivate or process, but getting the necessary permits for actual plants is patient-need specific, eliminating the chance for producers to cultivate for coming demand, only allowing them to retrospectively satisfy, existing, but not yet filled, customer orders. This has created many companies who have now invested and built in the space, now receiving licenses to cultivate based ONLY on existing patient orders, not for any needs beyond
I was very vocal about what that would mean in both the long and short term, but alas, people in suits have other ideas.
BTW if you saw any licenced cannabis cultivation facility (in Australia) on any TV or web news report in 2015/16, that was ours. We were that company.
If the laws here had been crafted sensibly, I would have to go back out and get a real job. Subsequently I’m kept busy providing quality medical preparations for patients who won’t be granted access under the system in place for another 4-5 years yet. The Aust government’s “progressiveness” has eliminated any chance for the concept of dispensaries or collectives, preferring to route the medicine through hands that dont even really understand what they’re handling. I’m talking about Greg Hunt (Silent C) and the health department taking a medieval prohibitionist-style approach to what is clearly a dangerous and life-destroying drug that should NEVER be allowed to get into the hands of people that can benefit from it.
*Also, forgot to add, in our MC system here, Research licenses allow you to cultivate plants for “Research ” purposes only, the end product (raw flower or concentrates) must be destroyed after relevant data has been obtained (whether research is to do with breeding, cultivation, extraction, processing, whatever). Only a small percentage of the companies holding research license are producing material that is actually being used in any patient trials. This typically goes downstream to a separate (in most cases) company holding a Manufacturing License who then process the raw product into whatever form it is going to take in the end. So far, the bulk of the material used in patient-studies to date here has been imported from Canada(more recently) or Europe(early days). So the research license is essentially an investment/write-off for VCs and the big tech/pharma companies only. Australia is still working in patient group 1 which is epilepsy (various types) with a total of 1800 people in the whole of Australia with authorised access under the law. The Special Access Scheme (SAS) was created to provide access to patients suffering other conditions but ONLY in exceptional cases, which blows banana chunks. Most people are forced into trying to access via this extremely limited and restrictive scheme, or just turning to the black market and praying they’re getting something from someone who cares as much as I do about the product. They’re usually not unfortunately, I was blessed to spend time learning professional Cannabis cultivation techniques both at Oaksterdam in the US and at multiple commercial grow facilities in Colorado, California and Washington.
Our group went for both licenses not knowing how long it would be before actual market activity started to occur. They’ve had their licenses and permits since May 2017 and have only just produced their first delivery of cannabis-oil commercially for use in trials to the CSIRO a month or so ago.
I try and think how many runs of product (RSO, BHO, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Glycerine, Jojoba, Balm, Moisturiser, Bath Salts, Message Oil, Edibles and Flower) I’ve done that have actually helped affect people’s lives positively since that time. It’s a lot.
I’m still well connected with many great people from Australia’s emerging industry I met while on that journey and try to stay in the loop of information regarding Cannabis here in Aust and can’t wait for the penny to drop and adult use become legal and that the legislation include personal cultivation.
I don’t believe anyone should be forced by law into paying $$$ (and waiting 5 months) to someone else for something they CAN do for themselves, or be treated like a criminal for providing for their own needs. Many people here are desperate to even find out if Cannabis can help them at all, so I’m just doing my best to give them that chance, and try to help educate as many as possible along the way.
Peace man.
Did you check out Dr Greenthumbs line of nutes? Been runing that along with GoGo Juice from Neutrog and Mammoth P.

Are there any products with microbes like DGC RECHARGE available in Australia?
GoGo Juice from Neutrog can be purchased at Bunnings,May be worth a try until recharge becomes available in Australia.
Hello guys, I have had success ordering it from Amazon.
I notice it’s also on eBay in Australia but it’s very expensive.
