Happy Thanksgiving to the DGC!

I would like to start out by thanking Dude, Scotty, Guru, Banner, Warehouse Kyle, Rolling Stoner, Hi-C, Jmystro, Soup, and the rest of the crew! I have learned more in the last year than in the previous 40. A lot of it by trying new things suggested by the great folks that are members of this crew. Rasufa, PacNWDan, Sunny in Bectopia, Dankasaurus, Annette Furscroggin, TJDirtsniffer, RUSTY-KNUTS-KEK-KING,, Birminghamtaro, Sensi_mi_yah, Jetzpak the senior dog, Shonuff, and ALL the rest of the DGC have been soooo much help! This community is a great place to learn and meet like minded people!

I am grateful for NY State finally getting with the 21st century, and ending prohibition. Hopefully the Federal Government follows suit soon, and joins the rest of the “Woke” Cannabis world. I am thankful that they seem to be working on it. If you are living in a prohibition state, thank you for continuing the good fight. Without people speaking out, we would still be living  a very secretive lifestyle, and I, for one, am very thankful that we are able to bring our hobby/passion out of the closet, and into the light(pun intended)!

I am thankful for the cannabis plant! This gift to humanity has been misunderstood for too long. I am glad that common sense is beginning to rule the way we look at cannabis. We spent too many years dealing with a Reefer Madness (mis)education, which was such a false narrative, brought on by prejudice and fear. We have learned that there is nothing to fear from this beautiful flower and that there is still much to learn about it.

Let’s keep spreading the truth about this plant and point out and shoot down the lies associated with its use. The ONLY thing bad about cannabis are the laws surrounding it. BUT, they are being changed. Let your representatives know how you feel. Put pressure on them and threaten to vote for someone else if they don’t get on board. Send e-mails, letters, and make phone calls. OUR activism is what gets things done. Don’t wait for someone else to speak up. Fear has kept our community fragmented as most of us didn’t want to be known for being “potheads”, but that is changing. We are busting the stereotype. Our society is evolving, and cannabis has been reinserted  into the evolution equation. It never should have been removed. It gives me hope for our future.
