Thanks for the previous help. Love this place and listen every day. I am 3 weeks into flower now. I am noticing some of the white hairs starting to brown and curl up. I am concerned that this might be a sign of pollination and the plant may have gone hermaphrodite. I have also read that it could be pests or other environmental factors. Some also say it is nothing and will finish out without seeding.
How can I definitively tell if something is pollinated? If the plants with brown hairs are pollinated, does that mean they are the hermie or a different plant went hermaphrodite and pollinated the ones with brown hairs? What do I do about this? The hairs that are browning are on the Garlic Budder (Humboldt Seed Co. GMO x Fortune Cookies) and today I noticed some on the Junlge Lava (Jungle boys Lava Cake x Jungle Cake). To recap my grow…
Running 3 strains.
Junlge Lava (Jungle boys Lava Cake x Jungle Cake)
Jelly Rancher Bx3 (Humboldt Seed Co. Notorious THC x Very Cherry)
Garlic Budder (Humboldt Seed Co. GMO x Fortune Cookies)
Soil (ish)
Sunshine Mix 4 with myco. Watering with tap water (not ph’d worked fine last run). Used Recharge at planting and up pot.
Nutrients

The past week has been very hot and humid here. I have struggled to keep Humidity down especially. Even with the Fan on constantly and the dehumidifier going it has been hard to keep below 60%. Temps are fairly stable but at times have briefly climbed to 85 and momentarily to 87.

This past week I have only been able to keep humidity to about 58% and temp at 74f in dark periods.
NOTABLE EVENTS
This past week I have had my breakers pop several times causing light and Aircon /dehu to turn off. The longest period was only about 15 minutes. I just let the timer roll forward. When I flipped I was at 8-8 now it is 8:30-8:30 so in total I have only shifted the 12 off a half hour later in the day.
Did pruning and lollipop trimming all the way up until a few days ago. Not sure if this stress had an effect. This is only my second grow. Total noob. I have never sexed a plant (I used sex testing to cull the males). I have looked at pictures of naners and hermies. I inspected the bud sites as well as I can and I don’t really see anything like that. But as a noob I am not really sure what I am looking for. Other than the few bud sites with brown hairs, I think the plant looks delicious. Of course I do not want to cut it but I also don’t want to risk everything going to seed. If I lose this plant, that’s less weed for me to give away and that’s not a good thing.
Thanks in advance.
If you see any pollen sacs on any plant then yes we got hit with pollen. But I have had this happen early and if I over fertilize or, too hot or humid condition. All 3 of my tents had this problems at week 4 of flowering but mine had to do with the heat issue my AC went out and !y tents were at 95°F with !u lights at only 25%. But got my AC fixed and everything was better except for the fried hairs/red hairs.
@MidMOGrower I was hoping it was an environmental thing too but….
I looked at all the plants and I found a different specimen of the Garlic Budder that I think is totally hermied.
I cant figure out how to post pics in reply but here are the links to the image post.
Are these the “nanners”? Pollen sacks?

Its weird that it pollinated other plants, but not itself. Or, is that the way this works?
The hermie is from a fem seed.
Also physical damage from arms brushing up on them or wind whipping them. If you don’t see the male flowers you’ll notice the orange hairs falling off the plant and that’s a sign of pollination.
JustCoolin thats a good point. I just installed a large oscillating fan right next to the one that turned brown first. Unfortunately, I found a hermaphrodite in the mix. At least I think I did. Posted pic links in message above. I just hope the rest of the bud sites don’t keep turning brown.
Do you think that if a few bud sites have gone brown that the rest will follow? I have no experience to reference. I am learning hermin real time!!
The pics a little fuzzy, but it looks like a Herman. I hope you still get plenty of smokable… and it never hurts to have a few seeds around just for fun. We are so spoiled today… Album covers to clean seeds… Wait, what’s an album cover???
Peace!
