I’m having trouble controlling my humidity in flower… Week six, wouldn’t it be better to keep my temperature higher to avoid mold? Current humidity fluctuates between high 60’s and high 70’s. It’s just been a hot week here. I think next week it will be down to mid 60’s hopefully below 55 before too long. Anyway, Currently not higher than 93 Fahrenheit with an auto dimmer to prevent overheating. What do u think? Keep the temp up or keep it cooler and dimmer. They are drinking 1 gal every other day.
thx!!
I am having the same problem ViNce. I am keeping my temps higher and ordered a Frigidaire dehumidifier to go along with my AC. I have been looking more at 86-90 F and 75-85% RH. Lots of rain recently means lots of excess humidity.
While those temps and RH aren’t ideal…you can push thru that short term. The problem is when the lights go out, temps dip, you hit dew point and everything is soaked with puddling on the walls and floors when the lights come back on. Without good airflow then that’s prime problem conditions.
i just finished a run ,my whole grow was 70+ humidity,, …..i added more fans.
just get that air moving
You might consider getting a bigger exhaust and/or dehumidifier if you are expecting more of this weather. Definitely do not increase heat to control humidity in this case. You are hot enough in there already. Lights out is your concern. If you are running up to a high 70’s RH, it is going to be in the 90’s at lights out. Are you removing all the runoff from you containers to help decrease RH? That is a tough spot. If your tent is in an area free of potential light leaks you could unzip it some to reduce heat and humidity.

Get loads of fans and create hyperturbulance so nothing remains still that way you know they are not gonna have as much dewpoint moisture on em come lights off.
Maybe get a few second hand constant drain dehumidifiers place them around your ladies and drain them all away from your room.
Maybe a lung tent with demhumidier inside and your intake fan taking dryer air from that tent rather than soggy tsunami air.
Also maybe cover anything that water can evaporate off of, cover res, mulch the tops of pots.
Defoliate and spread the buds as far aoart as possible to prevent sweaty funkzones ripe for colonisation aim fans through the spaces try and grow many smaller buds rather than budrot attracting mega colas it’s heartbreaking throwing out ozs due to mould.
Grow autos 24/0 no dewpoint issues as constant light/temp easy to maintain.
It’s a battle basically like all problems its spend/invent/modify.
