First and foremost, it’s sad to see that Guru is leaving, a huge asset he’s been. I really enjoyed his scientific input.

Anyhow, I’d heard Scotty speaking of Hempy Buckets and figured I’d give it a go at making a few for my next grow attempt. (Note the usage of attempt)

Following Scotty’s description I went with overpriced flat back 5 gallon buckets I picked up at my local farm store, one inch pipe and saddle straps to hole the pipe in place. I also choice stainless screws so rust doesn’t become an issue further down the road.
At our local garden store, Canna~Gardens, I found some hydro cups which are glued into place forming the wicking area.  When measuring for the weep hole, the Pall Mall Black Label seemed to be the perfect width.

With three ready, and two Sticky Dickie, and a solo 5 Alive about ready for transplant, I’m looking forward to trying this system out.  If I get lucky, maybe I can submit a Dank Bud in a few weeks. We’ll see.
