Hi I’m a new grower and I’d want to know what pot size should I choose for my cannabis and how much coco would that need?

3 gallon is a common size for coco growers. You can fill a handful of them with one bag of coco.
You might try something like the Sohum Living Soil, it has all the nutrients in there, this way you don’t have to worry about getting the nutrients right. You can focus on watering and letting the plant grow.
A standard bag of Coco or media is around 10-15gallons. As for your size of the pot I would say it depends on how often you want to water and how long you want to veg it. I would suggest starting off in at least a 1 gal container (I start in a 1/2gal) and transplanting into a 3-5gallon. If you don’t overveg in the 3 gallon then it should work fine for a daily water, but if the plant gets too large then you may find yourself needing to water more often. It really comes down to how often you can be with the plants. I usually only have the ability to hang out with my plants once per day so I use 7gal containers so I can manage watering once a day. You just got to get your feet wet and find out what works for you, but starting in a 3 gal is a reasonable starting point. And if you are using coco, the grow dots work well with them and keeps the grow simple. Good luck and happy to see new growers coming into the space! #growerslove

It’s always a good idea to start small, and then gradually increase the pot size as the plant grows. This will help prevent over-watering and allow you to monitor the plant’s growth and health more easily.
It’s also important to keep in mind that cannabis plants in coco will require more frequent watering than those grown in soil as coco tend to dry out faster.
As a general rule, u should check the coco’s moisture level every other day and water when the top 2 inches of coco are dry to the touch.
But I’ll get a hang of how heavy the pots are and how tan the medium tops are just by eye after awhile
here is the rate: 2 parts soil with 1 part coco (make sure it’s a quality coco other wise you could have issues
