This is my 2nd attempt at growing. I have a tent, light, filter and fan on timer. My first plants died, save for one that i replanted in my parents garden and only then did it mature and flower. My current plants wont grow beyond a few inches and the leaves keep drying out and falling off. I purchased some Grow Dots for my next go round and i need some help at breaking through and getting these plants going. My current setup has the light and filter on for 18 hrs and off for 6. Temp in the tent is around 70 degrees.
that’s too much light for seedlings. can you dim the light? The humidity is likely too low as well.start your seedlings in a clone dome or propagation kit, that way you can harden them off. your treating them like plants which they aren’t yet. Dont give up, every garden fail is a chance at a valuable lesson that won’t be forgotten.
after looking closer to the pictures the humidity is definitely too low for seedlings but dim that light as well if you can.
or move it to the top of the tent its really close.
They look fried. Too many nutrient, low humidity and an intense light can all contribute to this. I also don’t see any perlite or bulk material in your soil. It’s possible there isn’t enough oxygen in the root zone.
I’d suggest trying some of the clone plugs to start your seeds in, it might be easier for you. Once they establish roots in those, move them into your medium.
For seedlings, 65% humidity is ideal. This is the stage of life you want the most humidity.
You can also start a seedling under something as simple as a LED lightbulb if you are unable to dim your quantum board LED.
As the crew said above… too much light and probably too much nutrients.
Try starting your seeds in root plugs or in small cups of plain coco. Seedlings have enough nutrients stored inside them for about a week, so start seedlings in a plain media with no nutrients and then transplant them into some soil with food once they get past those first few days.
Environmental conditions are key at this stage too. Shoot for 78-84 degrees and 50-60% humidity if you can. The closer you can get to that range the better. Make sure your light is at least a good 12-18” away from the plants and adjust them if needed. If plants get stretchy and tall then they might need more light. If they look stressed and fried they probably are getting too much light.
Here’s a guide I wrote to help new growers get started. Take a look and feel free to get in touch if I can help ya out!

Stick with it and keep learning! Nobody gets it 100% right on their first few attempts. Stay positive and keep hanging out with the DGC and you’ll be growing like a pro before you know it!
I started growing with your exact system. I still use those lights for veg at times. When I started I wasn’t aware of this site so I followed what I found which was Mr Canuck’s on YouTube. He has a start to finish autoflower video that I followed step by step.
The guys above are freaking weed genius’s so listen to them. That light is adjustable for sure. Follow the manufacturer guide that came with it and dial in the environment. You got this!
