Toronto, Ontario, Sep 17 2019 — Infer.Green launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign today to support the Grower App. Grower App is an affordable, portable technology used by cannabis growers to do early detection of pests, pathogens and hermaphrodites in the cannabis crop before the symptoms are visible to the eye.
The technology is built on research done by Infer.Green’s team at an ACMPR licensed grow operation and at Niagara College’s cannabis growing program. The analytical software uses community sourced data to continuously learn and improve the stress detection software.
Five prototype units are being sent to select Ontario growers for use with their crops in October 2019. The Infer.green team expects to finalize the scanner hardware specifications and the App software by year-end. In February 2020 the product will ship to the extended grower community. The funds being raised in the crowdfunding campaign cover expenses for trials and manufacturing set up. As part of the Early Bird Special growers can pledge $325 or more to be first in line for the new technology.
Varun Madhok, CEO and founder at Infer.Green said:
“This is a community directed initiative. We have had feedback from growers of all sizes across Canada on powdery mildew, hermies and nutrient stress as their biggest problem areas. By the time the symptoms are visible it is too late. We are raising funds now to complete our trials and make the product ready for the mass market by February 2020,”
