Why do you supplement your medium with molasses when there are exudates in the soil already producing numerous types of sugars beneficial to all types of microbes in sufficient amounts? Adding specific sugars to medium not only confuses the exudates but also disrupts sugar production within the plant. Molasses should only be used as a catalyst in compost teas to feed the growing species of aerobic bacteria brewing in your tea. Never used Molasses outside compost teas and NEVER pH’d my water a day in my life and gotten impeccable results.
