DGC! What is up?
I want to start by saying thanks for helping me grow my medicine. Here we go. I’m starting to see amber trichomes and just fed my plants a couple days ago. I don’t want to overwater them. But I feel like a flush is in order. Do I need to test the ppm and just wet my plants until my shoes are filled? Oh and can you share in specific steps how you flush your plants? Like, how much runoff, runoff ppm, etc. This is my first grow, so any and all help will be very much appreciated. Oh and do you have a recommendation for temp and humidity for these last days?
Hello,
We would need to know what medium you are using to accurately answer this question as it is a little different for each.
Also the harvest flush is not the same as you would do for a toxicity or transition flush. For harvest flush you just stop using nutes for the last 3-14 days (depending) and just use plain ph’d water.
Temp is a personnal thing but most believe that lower temps will lead to better flower/trichs. I run 72 day 62 night ,give or take, for the last 2-3 weeks.
Humidity should be around 50%. Much debate here too, but I run flower at 50% and the last 2-3 weeks closer to 40%. It should not be over 60% for sure.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I ran Nectar for the Gods Roman Regimen (15 bottles) and my soil is a mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Loco Coco, I used Great White on the roots during each transplant from Solo Cups to 1gal to 7gal fabric pot. Lights – Veg closet has a ROI 200 from Growers Choice and the 3×4 flower tent has a HLG 350r. Last feeding was 12/9/21, slurry test just before harvest (12-22-21 350ppm)
Has anybody ever used finisher products right before flush?
Is the goal of the flush to cleanse the growing material more or give the plant plain water to absorb into the flower?
This isn’t flush related but if a toxicity locks out let’s say potassium or phosphorous, could you in theory add more potassium or phosphorous the next crop to really bump up numbers. Like if magnesium toxicity locks out potassium……could that plant in theory be given more potassium going into flower then……for real explosive results?
I’m not sure about flushing agent. I was hoping that by choosing to run organic nutrients that I wouldn’t have the need or desire to flush. I also don’t know if there is any scientific evidence to support flushing plants.
As for the other questions you have, I’m not sure and those are definitely good questions. I hope you find the answers you’re looking for. I did
