Noticed this morning a node sprouting out of the tip of a leaf. I was wondering if i should give it the chop or leave it. My thinking is if the leaf stem is not thick enough to support a bud/cola then i should cut it off and have that spent energy best spent on viable colas.
all in all cool to see that happen but now I’m torn between nature and having manicured colas and no larf.
growing on a fully organic soil using dry amendments, great white, recyclesil silica and build a soil aloe Vera. Thanks for the tips and support DGC Growmies.
I wonder if it’s hormonal or genetic. I’m thinking hormonal similar to the leaf buds that form occasionally. Id be worried if the petiole will be able to support the new growth, let alone a bud. Also if the leaf starts senescing will the petiole remain or will everything fall off. Tough call. We will have to see what others suggest.
Pretty cool. It’s a genetic mutation that is being expressed. I say rock it, why not. Fun little novelty bonus to your grow. I had a strain once that grew mini buds in that location, but I’ve never seen the branching like yours. Diehards will say that it is stealing energy from your main colas, but c’mon, live a little.
I don’t leave anything growing that I won’t want to trim. But I’m with chad, who gives a rip. Have fun
