Since I have been shopping for the best choice of LED lighting I have decided on Lumatek and Phototek. Guru’s pick was also a consideration but I need more grow area and thus more lighting. Can you help me in any way at all?

You should probably give people an idea of what type and size of grow you are planning. Then you can get some proper advice.
Rasufa has a point. Your setup could be overkill or underpowered depending on your goals. There are basic rules that apply to any grow, like reflective walls and floors to get the most out of your lights. Any light is more efficient and longer lasting the cooler it runs so a good fan to keep the air mixing will get you more life from your light.
What made you interested in those lights? I’m familiar with lumatek as they’ve been making digital HPS ballasts forever but I had never heard of PhotonTek. Looking at those two brands… they seem ok, but definitely would not be my first choice. I dunno where you are planing on purchasing from, but they also look kinda expensive for what they are offering.
As the fellas said above… if you tell us more about your setup we could give you more specific advice.
Just speaking generally, I would check out HLG, Rapid LED and Chiled and see if they have something that looks like a good fit for your garden. Those are all considered top tier LED companies and are friends of the DGC.
I’m also a distributor for HLG, so if you want to chat with me more about lights you can hit me up through the contact page at my website, GrowersLove.com. I love helping people get started and find the right stuff for their grow, so get in touch if i can help!
