My Grow Posted by Brystereeno | Apr 16, 2020 | Grow Hacks, Growing | 3 | Tilting a couple plants is easier than tilting a grow light. I also rotate the plant every 3 hours. The bottom of my pots smelled like mildew until i got airflow underneath. I don’t know if it was powdery mildew. The nose knows it was mildew.
barelyburningburlyburnhardly on April 17, 2020 at 11:12 am Those look like the salts on the bottom of your fabric pot, all of mine have that. I don’t think it is mildew. The bottom should smell damp, I am not sure what you mean by mildewy though. You were correct to get them off the ground fabric pots need airflow underneath to work correctly. Seems like a lot of work rotating them all the time. When I was using a light without a good footprint I would turn it once a day a half turn at most. That is really all you need but it wont hurt to do it more of course. Log in to Reply
Biker_Trash on April 23, 2020 at 10:21 pm Walmart has great plant caddys in the garden center, I want to say they are 4 bucks a piece and they fit perfect inside thier 12 inch plant tray that costs under a dollar. 5 bucks and your plant is off the ground with a tray. Log in to Reply
CannaBliss247 on May 6, 2020 at 11:21 am Definitely salts at the bottom. If height space is a concern, you can easily get them off the floor with these pot toes with minimal loss in height Bosmere Pot Toes, Terra-cotta (Pack of 12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00260Y76U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vgVSEb3C0GTS7 Log in to Reply
