Dude, Scotty, the illusive Guru, Mr. Banner, Anthony – Glad you’re all back safe & sound after the Turkey murder day.   Since the Holidays are upon us I thought I would throw out a couple pretty cool (cool to me at least)  ideas for the crew. A couple gifts they may want to Give OR Receive…  Hint, Hint  …  “Hey Honey, come here and check this out on Dude Grows.  That would be cool to get don’t you think?”

This came about because Mrs. Phud finally decided she wanted to see what I have been looking at in the microscope after she watched me hauling it out a couple times a week and looking at trichomes.  So, she dropped the “Hey dumbass” on me and mentioned that they make pocket microscopes that would probably work.  I did a little research & low and behold.

The pocket microscope is excellent for only $12 and, as you can see, it easily fits in your hand.  For looking at triches and bugs, it’s worth the pocket change.  I will be keeping this one, it’s nice.  I got it on Amazon, here: https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Microscope-MM-300/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511981651&sr=8-1&keywords=carson+microscope

I also saw the microscope camera while looking at these things.  It’s only $28.  It’s not as good a value as the above scope because it’s advertised as a 1000X, and it’s not.  It is not even close to that, I would guess it is a 10 to 50X.  But for $28 bucks if you want to snap low res pics or shoot video it’s a win value wise.  You’ll find this one here: https://www.amazon.com/CISNO-Digital-Microscope-Endoscope-Magnifier/dp/B075H634MP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511982255&sr=8-1&keywords=CISNO+2MP+1000X+USB+Digital+Microscope+Endoscope+Zoom+Camera+Magnifier+with+Fixed+Stand

For integrity sake, I am disclosing I am going to return the 2nd item.  Not because its crap, it took the pics seen below (Yeah she’s ready for harvest), but because I was hoping it could replace the $200 camera you can stick into a real microscope to get very high-quality pics and vid.  I took a picture I posted here of some mycelium via the type of camera I am seeking.  The above camera scope is not at the level of quality I want.

Lastly, if you’re wondering what kind of scope I have/use, or you’re thinking about getting one, Here you go, still worth the $$ if you’re a nerd like me. : https://www.amazon.com/AmScope-T340B-LED-Magnification-Illumination-Double-Layer/dp/B0069WNJS8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419912167&sr=8-1&keywords=T340B-LED+ASIN%3AB0069WNJS8#Ask
