I’m sure this has been asked before. Do I adjust the pH of my water when using Recharge? I’ve heard different things is why I’m confused about it. I’ve heard you don’t need to pH at all with Recharge. I’ve also heard you don’t pH only when you feed Recharge once a week. And I’ve heard you always pH no matter what your feeding. So I don’t know what to believe. Thanks dudes. Rock on!🤘🤙

It’s more about your source water than anything else. Do you normally need to adjust the pH because it’s too alkaline or acidic? The only reason to adjust your water source before adding Recharge is if your water needs to be adjusted. Water with a pH around or above 8 should probably be lowered for the plant’s roots, not because it bothers or hurts microbes. Neutral water doesn’t need to be adjusted before or after adding Recharge. https://www.dudegrows.com/realgrowers-recharge-cannabis-user-guide/
I use my tap water(well water) its usually around 7.6 or somewhere around that. I just don’t wanna mess up my plants. Not so much worried about the microbes
Whatever you water at PH-wise, water the Recharge in at also. Consistency is a good thing when it comes to PH in plants, and how hard is it to adjust? Why not just let the microbes start where you will ultimately want them?
I always ph. Usually around 6.5 or lower. It takes 2 seconds to do it. I was more worried that it would go up once it started doing its thing. Thats what I’ve been told.
I ph after I mix everything for about ten minutes then I check and adjust. Recharge is a PH up and most nutrients are a down so often they balance themselves. I come in at 6.0 to 6.3 every time no ph needed. I’m in soil as well.
So that’s fine 6.0-6.3? I usually go 6.5PH or lower, never higher. I saw sweet seeds dark Devil auto on there sight was grown at 6.0ph. Probably why I’m having a problem with her.
I don’t pH at all and my water tests 7.4-7.6. I grow in a living soil without ANY salt based nutrients but I’m constantly feeding microbiology that includes Recharge. I also use compost tea, ferments, LAB, other branded microbial products, etc. I dont have issues caused by pH in my grow and you shouldn’t have to, if your soil is sufficiently teaming with microbes. Shout out to Jeff Lowenfels! Lol. It’s certainly not going to HURT for you to pH your feeding solution after you add your Recharge (and anything else that’s going to go in there) but it really should NOT be necessary. One of the reasons I moved to organics and growing with microbes was to get AWAY from having to pH and do all sorts of testing and mixing. It’s hard to let go of that hydro way of thinking but I finally did and I haven’t had ANY issues. Your plants will tell you but I’m confident in recommending that you don’t have to pH, if you don’t want to.

With a healthy living soil, your water’s pH being around 7.5 is perfectly fine. If it was above 8, then you could possibly run into insoluble ions in the soil. High pH is not going to bother the microbes but it will require them to work a little harder to lower the pH where they want. While this is happening some minerals could end up less available but not unavailable to cause stress. Just less growth.
In my recent experience with Recharge, since I am new to using it, its very basic. 7+pH. It raises the pH roughly a full point sometimes more in my water. Mix up your nutes and Recharge and then pH it down to the appropriate level if needed. I am running salt based nutes so it will depend on what you are feeding with as well. This is the advice I can offer. But like the above DGC have mentioned, it could be dependent on your water source as well. Adjust the pH level as required. Recharge will make your solution more basic for sure. Happy growing 🙂 , HH
