   When I count my blessings, very near the top of the list is that Cannabis has been legal enough for me since I left the military in ’96; that in retrospect, I have experienced legal reefer all this time. When we moved a few years back, the state in which I now reside had just made positive changes to its medical Cannabis law and legalization followed. I’m thankful to have the perspective that I do and yes indeed I have noted that other places still suck… I’m lucky in many ways and very grateful.

   Toot, I don’t think should land you in jail nor should smack. But I find defending those items with the same vigor I defend Cannabis to be extremely challenging. To each their own, but I think cocaine really and truly sucks as a consumer product, at least in my experience. It gives me a fucking brutal headache almost every time; it comes with a hangover that alone destroys any good that could have come from a “good-coke”experience; which in mine, was approximately between 1% and perhaps 5% of the time, tops; the rest: marginal; shitty or downright bad. I never had any desire to try heroin but I am grateful to have used methadone prescribed for back/sciatic trouble many years ago; that stuff helped me immensely and I was okay after a couple of days when I stopped taking it. It’s important for people to have serious pain relief and to not end up dependent and jail because of, essentially, bad design of products. The people I have known who use heroin or are on methadone programs were all profoundly unhappy and in various stages of ill-health; putting them in jail simply doesn’t help anyone imo.
