What’s up DGC. Ok I have a question about Scotty’s Real-buckets(or any SIP system). So I’m growing in coco with New Mill and Reacharge and have GREAT results, but life is busy man. I’m a family man with 4 kids, they all play sports so my schedule is crazy busy. The only time I get in the garden is between 5-6am every morning and then I check on them when I get home from work, so using a SIP system looks like it would be a great fit for me, but what about using liquid nutes in a SIP? I am under the impression that in coco we should be watering until 10-20% runoff to wash out any salt buildup. So wouldn’t using a SIP with liquid salts cause a build up after a while? Am I over thinking this shit or what? Anyways freaking love the DGC, I love my commute for some alone time to listen to my favorite podcast. I am all about destigmatizing this beautiful plant. I am a family man with kids and a bomb ass garden. It’s up to us to make weed normal in this day and age. Anyways I figured I’d ask before switching up my grow style l, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks DGC,

Bottom feeding is is possible with mineralized nutes like Grow dots or New Millenium. The occasional rinse from the top is highly recommended with bottom feeding systems to prevent excessive salt build up. At least once a month, if not twice depending on the brand. for example with Canna coco A&B, you may never have a salt build up bottom feeding. But try any powdered formula and you’ll be rinsing weekly.
What’s up buddy, thank you. Should I run a lower EC or just run my nutes as normal?
You shouldn’t need to lower the EC.
I’ve been using FloraFlex nutes in a sip style but think I either had some ph issues or my wife’s stoner husband gave a dose or 2 of winter frost in early flower…same strain in coco got the same nutes (with no winter frost) and 5.8-6 ph level and are healthy AF. either way, the sip bucket buds are nice and chunky and about a week before she comes down. I top watered her with recharge only on weekends.
