DGC What up? Love the show. My crazy question. Can cannabis be grown in a brackish water conditions. Brackish water usually has a specific gravity of 1.005 sea water is over 2.
Pops grew upriver from where it let’s out into the ocean with great success. Tide self watered plants twice a day. Salt water is more dense so naturally stays low and usually won’t be noticeable at the surface. Salt water can push up to 12 miles up the river and we lived a short boat ride from the bay. PPT (part per thousand) is a better measurement for salt. Ocean is 35-45ppt while brackish can be .5-35ppt. So if your brackish is closer to the lower end you got a shot. Salt plays havoc on the roots and nutrient/water uptake so there is definitely a threshold. Tide clock necessary to know when you can get up in the marsh to check on plants, plus a canoe. Use your ppm/tds meter and just check. Take total amount as all salt even though it won’t be all salt. 500ppm would be the low side 35000ppm would be the ocean. Not sure of the plants threshold but the more salt the more yield you lose until it kills the plant.
No
Not ideal or recommended. If it is all you have access to at a certain location, try it. What is there to lose?

And this is why I love the DGC.
Thanx for the input. I just started thinking about what happens in places like Jamaica. Read an article that the sea water is
starting to invade their fresh water. That’s is what started the whole thought process .That and some killer smoke I had. LOL…
Might have an experiment on the horizon..
Thanxs again
