I only grow feminized seeds due to space restraints. It is common for me to find a few undeveloped white seed from my isolated indoor grow. Recently I found a couple fully developed dark seeds. One of them has stripes and is fairly big. I keep close track of my grow, and never visually detected any herms or pollen sacks. What is the status of such seeds? If I grow these out, will the plants be susceptible to herm properties? What have others seen from growing out seeds from unfertilized feminized plants? If I grow these out, can I assume they will be female?

Genetics and probabilities tell me that a plant that self-seeded did it for a reason, so I’d treat any seed progeny as suspect until you grow it/them out and watch for intersex traits under stress. I mean, there’s no harm at all in growing it out just to see what you have, but there are some odds in there that you may find some abnormalities.
If its got seeds in it, then it was fertilized. (thats how babies are made lol)
Most likely caused by a few unnoticed herms/bananas that happened in the flower room. Seeds should be fem if it came from a fem plant, but will also likely show some degree of herm tendencies. You can grow it out and see what its deal is, but given it came from a herm theres a strong likelihood it will display some herm tendencies as well.
Seeds can also develop when taking a girl deep into flower. Cannabis has the backup ability to seed themselves if they do not receive pollen by their hard wired self preservation dna deadline. I like my flowers on the narcotic side and take my girls right into self pollinate mode with certain genetics. In my opinion there should always be a healthy respect for possible hermaphroditic expressions regardless of how the seed was conceived. That said, every time I’ve found a single or a few seeds from some dank they turned out to be fire very much like their mama was.
GG#4 – one product of herm genetics.
Lot’s of straight dope from the DGC up there👆🏼. As soup said you probably missed a nanner somewhere. There is a lot of intersex characteristic in a lot of varieties going around. It will most likely carry that characteristic over even if you don’t see any when you grow that mature seed out. If you are going for smoke and want to save $ on seeds for sure grow it and enjoy. Like Wally said you can get some fire from herm seeds. If your plan is to do some breeding I would skip these seeds. You could find something better to work with. 🤙🏼
