Here is my grow hack for a temperature sensor shade. I have found my temperatures reading slightly higher when my sensors are placed within a direct light path. I saw a similar method used in the HVAC industry to prevent the sun from giving false readings. All you need is a piece of paper, tape, and scissors. (A bowl helps too)
Step 1: Create a circle on your paper with a bowl or compass.
Step 2: Cut out the circle
Step 3: Cut one line directly to the center(doesn’t have to be perfectly center) & Cut a nickel sized hole in the center.
Step 4: Place the circle around your sensor cables.
Step 5: Cross the paper at the cut you made earlier, this should make a cone that covers your sensors.
Step 6: Secure with tape
Step 7: Roll one up and enjoy the shade
