Hey y’all I have a question.
When breeding autos with photos to create an auto-version of the photo-period plant, I’ve read the first batch of seeds will only have 25% auto-flowers and it takes generations to stabilize.
Did I really just think up a huge shortcut or am I f’n nuts?
- Take feminized auto pollen to a photo-period.
- grow a few of those seeds out until you find an auto
- hit that auto with colloidal silver to get crossed feminized auto pollen
- cross that feminized auto pollen with an auto
- Would you then have a stable auto cross?
Seems too easy but makes sense right?
Tell me what you think!
You might but not the pheno variation your looking for. Thats the real hard part. Getting the traits you desire to autoflower.
Your first batch of seeds won’t produce an auto.
You have to breed the f1s together to get your 25 percent. And the ones that auto may not be what you want as you have no control over which ones auto.
The rest of your idea will get you closer to completely auto flowering but won’t be stable like justcoolin said you will have a huge variation in phenos.
I am currently working on something similar but using regular seeds until I get it close then I will fem it
Ya it almost sounds easier with reg seeds and once you find your plant hit it with c.s.
Thanks
