Sprayer hack Posted by The Nug-inator | Mar 18, 2022 | Grow Hacks, Growing | 4 | Using a pump sprayer to water sucks ass! But… if you replace the mist-er nozzle with a cut off valve, you can turn your sprayer into a lazy drip system or use as normal but water 5x faster! Smoke more, water less! Peace!
SunnyinBectopia on March 20, 2022 at 12:00 pm Well, that certainly one way to go. I must ask though, why do you use a sprayer to water? That sounds painfully slow. Log in to Reply
The Nug-inator on March 21, 2022 at 6:44 am I use fabric pots and sometimes they can run down the side so watering moderately slow helps keep them from running. What would you recommend for hand watering. I don’t have any trays to catch my run off. Thank you for the help! Log in to Reply
So.Cal.Dank on March 23, 2022 at 1:27 pm First, great grow hack for the hand-waterers out there! As for automation, I followed this drip system setup… check it out (start at about 4:11): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAjA3l2Ap5Q&t=1437s You don’t need a NIWA, but you will need a digital timer that can be programmed to the minute… not one of the tab timers that only work in 15-minute increments. I currently have my plants getting watered 4 times a day in 3Gal pots with no runoff at all. I usually hand-water once a week with tea until I see some runoff, just to be sure there aren’t any dry spots at the bottom. Cheers! Log in to Reply
