Hey guys love the channel I started to get into it Dec last year. And I’ve learned a few things to help my grow op. But now I’m drying four lemon pie autos in one, and with two lemon/c4 autos in a separate tent near it. I enjoy my legend OG photo, but I needed the faster meds. Can I dry my meds with the duct connected to the big tent and that air flowing out the other end? My idea is to constantly move air in the dry space using my exhaust in the big tent. And I’ve got a few environmental controls set. Is this set up ok?
Hey bud im a new grower as well still have plenty to learn about drying and understand u need ur meds asap but u just spent at least 65 days growing theses girls that might be two much air causing them to dry out to fast . Witch can cause a hay smell . Know from experience. I would fork out at least 7 days to finish drying slow. U want circulation but not direct airflow but agin im rarely new so it might work lol good luck
Brotha I recently harvested my last auto and dried them for two weeks in 60 degrees no real dehumidifier but the temps made these buds smell so dang good!!!!! It’s unfortunate I smoked it all hahahaha
The warm air coming from the grow tent, that you want to pump into the drying tent, what temp is it?
I know it is hard to wait, but you’ve spent months growing these plants, don’t make the mistake of trying to rush the drying and curing process. You’ll want to control the conditions in the drying tent, 60 degrees and 60% humidity are the commonly used parameters. If you can hang dry for 10-14 days, that is ideal, but if they are very dry on day 7, then take them down and jar them then.
You will want some airflow in the drying tent, but you don’t want the fan blowing directly on the plants. If the exhaust from your grow tent is close to the desired temp and humidity ranges, it may be workable but more commonly, people will have a fan in the dry tent to move air and an exhaust fan to evacuate the moisture and exchange it for fresh air.
If you need need meds super fast, take a small bit of your crop and you can dry it in a paper bag. That should speed it up a few days but imo does not produce the best tasting buds. This is why I suggest doing it with only a small part of the crop.
I cut it the buds off the stem and let em dry in 3-5 days then pop em into a jar. It works perfectly fine!! I did it cause I had mold and bud rot so I had to dry em fast and wow it doesn’t taste as good as regular dried herb but no harshness and gets me super faded
Is the exhaust on 24/7? Maybe open another vent on the big tent so not all the air is being pulled through little tent. What’s your room temperature and humidity like. Are you worried about smell?
I just hung my Strawberry Gum in the basement. 62 degrees and 60% humidity with very little airflow. These large buds should take 10 days or more. Good luck with it. 😀
I would not have the warm air from the grow flowing through your drying tent.
Heres some info on drying. You want to cooler temps in your drying area than in your grow room for sure.

In agreement with Soup and Chad here. Using the air from your other tent would seem like a bad idea to me. you would be better off hanging them in a dark garage than in a tent with hot air. Chad has written it all for you above. Soup’s article on drying is very good. I will be altering my drying methods a little bit because of Soup’s input.
Nice little setup by the way.
I literally have an AC unit (Portable on wheels) angled into the open (Sealed with a taped up bomber jacket) dry tent door to keep my temps 50-60 with an rh of 48-59% at all times.
Now, if I turn my PC on I pop the breaker but it fucking works!
Run them separate and constantly check the drying bud temps, it matter ALOT with your final product. 10-14 days and most wouldn’t even know it didn’t cure (LMFAO)
