What’s the crews thoughts on a 3 gallon compared to a tall 5 gallon with same diameter? I personally have seen a better result in the 5 (tall )with Autoflowers, a little bit longer of a veg. Just starting to do work in the Auto word with Grow Dots and Recharge ( JUNGLE JUICE ). STAY STRONG DGC.

I have always heard the tap root reaching the bottom triggers flower in autos thing, but seems kind of bro-sciencey to me. Deeper roots are always better.

My autos SUCKED in 3gal buckets so I went back to 5.
What strains btw those look good for veg. Vigorous.
In my experience it seems that autos appreciate the extra depth in the media. The tallest autos I’ve grow were in a 3gallon radicle bag inside a 5 gallon bucket as a SIP container.
Clones in general would prefer a more shallow and wide pot, but typically autos aren’t candidates for cloning. So for standard autos I would shoot for more depth for sure.
Way too many variables to consider to make a choice arbitrarily, I stick with the tried and true axiom of bigger roots bigger fruits. The biggest auto I grew was a genetic more geared towards larger plants in a 15gal fabric pot no taller than my 5gal fabric pots.
