HEY WHAT UP DGC AND COMMUNITY!
This is my first grow from seed to harvest and I’ve posted the plant history here before couple of times, anyways i’m in week #7 of 12/12 some trichomes are starting to turn amber and i know from reading and watching the show basically how to do a final flush but me being me i like to measure 10 times and go to make the cut but have to measure it 10 more times before doing so… lol. Flushing when to start and how and what to and not to do?!!? Be detailed but not like 400 page book detailed. Thanks so much everyone and for this show and place to come to do our thing and having fun doing it!!!
-I fill my water cans, let them sit out for 24 hours in the garden room to acclimate to the room temp.
-Ph the water, for soil I use 6.3Ph, let it sit for 30 minutes, recheck Ph and then proceed when good.
-Slowly add water to the plants, general though is 3 times the amount of water compared to pot size. 1 gallon plant = 3 gallon water.
This will create a lot of run-off. Be prepared to capture and remove that water, you do not want the container to sit in run-off water.
Do this as often as your soil allows, meaning, don’t do it everyday if your soil is heavy and compacted because you will basically choke your plants out from getting any oxygen in the root zone. But you will likely flush again sooner than you typically would. Don’t wait for the pot to be half the weight of fully watered. As soon as your plants can handle it, (by not dropping or looking weak, leaves should be normal and praying) go for it.
There are countless tutorials on the process, I’d bet the DGC even has one posted to the site. But I hope that brief but specific info helps you out. If you have any questions on it, I’ll keep an eye on the thread for ya 😉
Nice looking ladies, well done!
THANKS !!! im excited abt them and it being my first grow. means a lot to hear something nice abt it and makes me want to do more and learn more!!
Ok so i got a 5 gal bag there so 15 gallons of water i got to put through it then!!! WOW thats A LOT!
Anyways this is my plan i think on how i will go abt this.
Do the water thing PH and Temp
When watering i’d do it like i give it water till the soil is saturated wait like 10mins give a gallon at a time with 10mins in between each gallon.
frequency of watering the flush! Just wait for the plant to say “OKAY im praying” and the soil to still be pretty damp but not wet basically but not dry like i would when just doing regular watering.
SWEET! Thanks for the info Bro, i understand a lil bit more now abt this process!!
This i am hoping i will be doing in the next week or so. MORE Trichomes are starting to turn amber today and depending on the speed of that getting to abt 10-15% then start this flush!!
That sounds like a perfect plan. So exciting to bring the crop down. Well done 🙂
I do have 1 question….. About how long (on avg.) does it usually take the trichomes to go from when they start going cloudy to start going amber?? abt maybe a week?? I ask cause a lot of trichomes on the plant have turned cloudy from yesterday and now i notice the bigger fan leaves are starting to yellow so i am assuming the plant is telling me its abt that time, right??
Anywhere from a week to two. But you know what you are look at and where to look. You’ll be good. They will continue to mature slightly while they hang dry.
Use the “search bar” on this site searching Flush and you will find more than information than you will need. The DGC archives are awesome! Happy Growing 🙂
