Hey guys I’m back again lol. So my previous post has all the details you can find those here: https://www.dudegrows.com/crazy-roots-slow-growth/
So I’m pretty frustrated with this situation I do not know how to fix it or how to stop it. I did a runoff test the numbers are on the post above. I used plain distilled water no pH for the test and used 1 gallon per plant. After I did that everything got worse and now we are here. I would literally pay someone to mentor me in figuring out these nutrients and what I’m doing wrong because clearly there is something lol.
Anyways thanks for any help you can give DGC I’ll answer any questions you have!!
Where do you live?
Where do you live? But I have an idea. Clearly somethings fucked up. What if you pulled them all out of those pots Shook as much dirt as you could off. Re-plant them in a reparable good quality soil. Of your choosing. And leave them alone
At least for a little while. It’s frustrating I know. I had a mentor but he lived far away. So I had to do a lot on intuition. A lot of times we won’t see what we did wrong till a week later. And it’ll take another week to recover from it. It sucks. But that’s farming. If you ain’t failing you ain’t farming
Hey I live an hour east of Toronto! And yeah maybe that’s all there is left to do. And I’ve been trying to figure it out for weeks and I don’t have a clue nothings gotten this bad like this yet and nothing seems to be getting better!
What are you currently feeding them and at what ppm? They look hungry.
I personally don’t find runoff testing to be very reliable, but your runoff test numbers sound like they are on the lower side and your plants are looking hungry… so Im kinda thinking they need some more food.
Looking at your first post, I suspect they may have been overwatered at some point. Plants are a bit droopy and that vigorous root growth through the bottom of the pot suggests they may have sat in some water for a bit or that the lower half of the pots are a little too soggy.
suggestions:
1) examine your watering practices and make sure you aren’t overwatering. Overwatering is not just about how much you water but also how often. Make sure your plants aren’t being given too much at once, and make sure you are waiting long enough between waterings. Lifting up your pots to feel the weight is a good way to check. Lift up your plants right after watering to feel the weight and get a good idea for what a well hydrated plant feels like. When they need water again they will feel way lighter.
( More info/tips on watering here:

2) examine your feeding practices. Tell the experienced folks here what you’ve been feeding, and your ppm and ph. I’m personally not that familiar with gh nutes, but there’s lots of people here who are very familiar with them and should be able to steer you on the right path as far as a feeding program.
3) just a general plant nutrition tip: Try to avoid chasing down specific nutrient issues and instead focus on the bigger picture. I recomend finding a good balanced feeding schedule for your nutrients and sticking to it for a while. Trying to diagnose and treat specific nutrient issues can be like chasing your own tail. Instead of trying to chase down deficiencies, focus on getting your overall feeding plan figured out and back on track. That’s usually an easier way to get things moving in the right direction again.
Thanks for the response Soup! I hear you on all the watering info I think I did overwater and set off a chain reaction of problems! I have just been trying to follow the GH recommended feed chart for drain to waste off their website. Usually feeding at 1/2 strength or 3/4. I’ve always thought it was calcium and phosphorus causing the issues maybe mag as well..
So my last feeding was 400 ppm and 5.5 ph. I dropped the ph per recommendation to try and lose the purple stems and dark spots which the new growth does look more green. But I’m into week 9 now and really losing faith lol. Maybe ramp up the ppm? I’m under the impression phos cal and mag are all to blame here? I just don’t know what direction to take I feel like middle of the pot is still most maybe but top bit is dry to the bone..
