Hello & Good Health to ALL of us! May the DGC remain Covid-19 free! Was watching show 1031 where you were discussing flushing pH. Although I don’t really flush per se with using a peat based soil mix, had a thought about what pH you were recommending to use. You guys said to use normal range pH to wash out nutrients/salts. Made me think for a second. If the whole idea is to stop nutrient uptake & use what’s stored up in the plant, why use regular pH water where everything is still available? Why not adjust water pH to just outside the range nutrients are available? Maybe watering with somewhere around 7.5 or 4.5 would accomplish the goal without harming anything & almost oversimplify the whole process. I think the plants would be able to handle it at the end. Thoughts?
