Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide Posted by DoobiesnBoobies | Dec 17, 2019 | Grower Questions | 3 | Anyone add hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) or vinegar with their nutrient mix or separately? Interested in opinions. Why or why not?
Coach Steve on December 17, 2019 at 6:54 am I don’t use either. Peroxide kills good bacteria and vinegar smells bad. Log in to Reply
JustCoolin on December 17, 2019 at 7:18 am I would steer clear of the peroxide unless your running a sterile hydroponic type grow. Can be used to combat pathogenic root issues but will take out the good guys along the way as mentioned above. Ive heard of some viniger being used in korean natural farming techniques. Usually a white rice vinegar or even making their own from the byproducts of fermented plant juice production. Ive also came across a bamboo vinegar used to aid plant growth. Vinegar is usually diluted and considered a fairly weak acid. Possibly using it to lower ph but it being a weak acid would require more than most would be comfortable using. Log in to Reply
