So recently I bought a house after living in town and using bottled water and Recharge, I never adjust the pH of my water. Since my new home is on a well I decided to test the water so I can start using it. So the pH of my water is 7.4 respectively. Do I need to pH adjust the water down or will it be fine using Recharge? And doesn’t well water contain nutrients also?

I am on well water, too, and mine is about 7.0 and I am fine with recharge. Yours may be a little high. Especially if your pH goes up after adding any nutrients. Most well water has some calcium, iron, and other good stuff. However, some people’s well water has very little. I remember Dude saying in BC the ppm is super low…
I’d pay close attention for any apparent deficiencies caused by lock out. Good luck!
Thanks!! I use Dr Earth dry amendments so I never had to ph anything. I’m going to try it and see
Always PH.
The raw water pH going in isn’t quite as important as the final pH you’re feeding to the plants. While mid-7’s is a bit high, it’s likely with most nutes your pH will drop significantly after adding them.
Add all nutes first, then pH (adding pH Up or Down as necessary), then add Recharge and feed.
I should have added that I use dry amendments so there is nothing to add
With the water being on the upper side of 7, I would definitely test the water after adding all your regular nutes to see where that is at. Remember your soil PH will resemble the PH of that water you are pouring in all the time, that is why it is important to know its PH. As you know some plants are very PH tolerant, while others will get lockout very easy. So if you know the PH of what you’re watering with and It falls in the acceptable range then you can for the most part know your soils PH is good. That fixes a lot of grow issues. To me soil PH is the #1 issue for newer growers. Scotty aways says he doest think about PH anymore. What new growers forget is that he has years of experience growing all kind of styles and nutes. He knows that his water nute mix is an aceptable range and he knows to use microbs (Recharge plug here)to get that bit of a buffer, that’s why he doesnt have to worry about PH issues. If he was just mixing unfamiliar new nutes in an unfamiliar grow medium he’d have issue too. Issue start when new growers start to see yellow leaves and think nutrient deficiency oh no, and increase the nutes without asking what is the cause of this nutrient deficiency and without checking their soil PH. PH is important, but once you are familiar with the PH of your nute mix in water and have it dialed in to a good PH you don’t have to think about it unless you change something. Your well water will have metals and minerals in it. Do you have a water softener? Or Hard Water? that can make a difference.
I don’t have anything other than a filter. And I use Dr Earth Dry amendments so I give them nothing but water. And Recharge once a week
