Dude, Scotty, Guru, and the DGC, First time medical grower from the newly legal state of Maine. I ordered some fem white widow seeds from ilovegrowingmarajuana.com, used the entire canna terra line and recharge in a ocean forrest/happy frog/perlite mix. I’m about a week away from harvest and have been flushing with ph adjusted water. Everything is looking amazing (thanks to the crew) but I was wondering, is there any point you stop watering before harvest or water as needed right up to the day? Thanks again for the amazing show and knowledge! Love the new format!
Watering Before Harvest

I’ve had good results flushing with pure water and 1/4 dose Recharge for a week, then water only for another week. Then lights off for 48 hrs before chop. The Recharge helps with the uptake of existing nutes and the following week of water flushes the salts. I think the 2 days of darkness push the plants to a little extra resin production. My buds have been much stickier since finishing this way.
it’s always good too get another flush in if you can in my opinion.
I like to water right up until harvest. More moisture in the plant when it’s chopped means a longer drying time which leads to a better smoke. Any extra nutrients flushed out are also a benefit.
No need to ph if you are flushing 🙂
The temperature and humidity in your drying area play in on your decision. If your drying area is high humidity (60% or more) and cold (64* or colder most of the time), you may want to let yor media dry out a bit before you chop. If it’s in the 65*+ and lower than 60% humidity, I would water as needed until finished.
Just water the soil as it requires like you normally would. No point stressing out the plant
We should all pee on them:)
That’s actually a good question, I also heard letting the plant die on the vine leads to an extremely better cure but who knows
