Hi, I have a supply/demand problem. Its a good problem to have in that I can’t grow enough, fast enough. I have the stuff going out the door the instant it is dry to whoever is lucky enough to get it. Now, the people are starting to catch on and adjust to the situation and wanting to get the stuff the day its harvested and dry it themselves.
This is no problem, I’ll gladly move it wet, but I’m wondering what the consensus is on dry weight. I’m using a .25 multiplier on harvest weight, so 1 pound of just harvested and trimmed buds goes out as 1/4 pound. Should I lower it to .20 ?
Dry buds should end up losing between 75-80% of their wet weight. You’re math is right. Patience is a virtue few have. That’s why their smoke is shit.
Or artificially keep that demand higher by making them wait for it to be dried.
No guessing at final weight and you make them want it more 👌
It’s worth keeping track of the wet vs. dry numbers during harvest. Every plant is different and I’ve had some strains come in at 15% of wet weight after trimming. What I’ve noticed most is that it can be highly variably between strains.
screw all that. cure it properly for 3-6 months and ask double.
Be safe go 22.5% lol it will account for different strains. Poor people must not realize drying it out faster ruins it. What’s the difference between you drying it or them. Then again as long as your benefiting.
no benefit if they think your shit is now bunk just cause they dont know how to dry/cure right and then they move on to somebody else.
have pride in your FINISHED product!

They are trying to get Jiminica’s bud before the dry to have first dibs I believe is what he is saying.
I can’t imagine handing over freshly cut flower, gotta dry to a certain point. If they wanted it so bad they can wait till I’m done.
People really buy wet bud? Why?
People really buy bud? Why? They should just join the DGC.

yeah, its not a perfect situation, I leave instructions on how to dry. I tell them get rid of half the water weight in the first few days to prevent molding, to which I wont be responsible, then dry slow,
