Hey DGC, sorry to ask yet again a question same grow. I adjusted my heat, the lowest 65-70 night. Days can get up to 82. My humidity is at 🙁 30% sometimes then up to 60%…. I think I found a problem but again need help. I got pics to explain more. Also I didn’t scrog so now things kinda fell. so I positioned them so they at least all get light . ps I got these from my buddy who said it’s reg and white widow but I get a huuuuge berry smell like all of them!
Thanks so much for the comments and just being real people DGC!
There are many factors that can contribute to your question, so I’m not able to pin point the problem. But for next time,
Using Silica and calcium early in veg will help build and thicken cell walls. This can lead to thicker, sturdier branches.
Scrog nets would help, but you can also use twist-ties to support lateral branches by connecting it to the main stem, if no other attachment points are convenient in the grow.
Your buds are too heavy for the branch to support (good problem). Early in veg, use fans to create gentle wind movement on the branches. This will also help them thicken up.
One other thing you could do in early veg is turn the plants a half turn each day. Plants are phototropic, just like sunflowers, they will lean and follow the light source. By turning them a half turn each day, that causes cell walls to grow and thicken as it adjusts to the new light position.
Westport your brain is amazing!
So many questions what product do you suggest for silica .
So I panicked a bit bought thin metal wire to wrap the branches to strengthen them . The buds are so heavy so I got stakes . I also got a scrog I’m installing tomorrow. Second grow so thank you so much! I also wanted to say I will definitely have to do that turn process on the next grow I have the access. Lastly got a ac infinity clip fan! I’m gonna make good weed damnit haha it smells like fruit and candy and is so crystallized

You’re on a good path. Scrog net will help you, the buds are looking nice. In general, avoid bare wire wraps. It can cut into the branches, especially if you bind it early in veg and it still has girth to gain.
The “turn your plants” comment relates to phototropism, also known as differential cell elongation. That means the plant follows the light, or in our case, leans towards the direction if it is not directly overhead. Rotating the plant causes the cells on the shade side to have auxins promoting more growth. .
“One other thing you could do in early veg is turn the plants a half turn each day”
WHY are the plants leaning towards the light?
Phototropism.
people always try to fix the wrong problem. if the plants growing one sided theres not enough light. not enough light and growth will be slow and stretched.
slow growth leads to pots taking too long to dry out between watering leaving it stagnating in the pot
bit of a sketchy humidity swing that needs fixed to. try n keep day and night temps close and it might help a bit
Thanks for the tips . Any suggestions on humidity control or humidifier ? I have my ac infinity set but I didn’t know till know to put it at the correct alarms.
People assume they know what they are talking about while criticizing others advice.
such a chad man. i bet your wife even grew your beard for you;)
how do you think i found out why turning the plant is fixing the wrong problem?
Woah woah woah my people it’s all good here knowledge is to be shared 🙂 the pots are 3 gal air pruning recyclable material in risers to prevent root rot and have has air flow. Any other questions? Chad man you are knowledgeable what humidity control would you go about doing or what you diagnosed here
As a wife, I think She would be more interested in cutting off in his sleep…. tee heeeeee. Randy Not Allowed to have beard. He stores old food in them. And grease, dirt, dog hair, sawdust, rats, toilet paper.
the pot does look a bit dry to be sitting stagnent admitedly
When Chad needs a butter crunch recipe, I have a feeling he would trust and respect your opinion. But thank you, really for putting a little drama in my morning reading. I get tired of everyone agreeing. My grandfather said I was contrary. In this one though…… Chads point is very valid.
I do not like to ask for help but I’m in a legal state and cannot find decent genetic s. Wa north left. Fem seeds would probably help me since this “trial “ run. I just lucked out they were female outta rag bag seeds.
So do you have a ‘smart’ humidifier that you can set an RH target? That would be very helpful if you don’t already. Temperature swings will affect the RH levels in the air without any water actually being added to the space; lower temps will raise RH and high temps will lower them. I would try to adjust your heat to help get closer to a proper VPD until you can control the RH in the meantime. I tend to stick around 50-55% RH in mid to late flower and will lower my temps down from the veg cycle anyway. You can always try the ‘pot of wet media/soil’ trick to help raise the humidity. Night RH doesn’t matter nearly as much as long as it doesn’t encourage mildew/molds, so anything under 60-65% should be fine.
Wind make strong bones, turning is also doing that . Gotta work out if you gonna grow up strong. I think your humidity is fine. But what do i know.
