Now of course this wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m just not seeing the weight, In which I wouldn’t expect to see in the beginning of week 6 anyways. I don’t think it’s the grow light because right next to it under the same light I have the opposite affect going on with a wedding cake strain, big dense buds, they clearly still has a long way to go.
Now one of the things I did add it to this grow was the far red Puck design by grow mouse and rapid LED in the Cinderella 99 was right under it. I wonder if it’s just genetics or did the Emerson effect come in to play. I heard it can cause the flowers to develop a week faster then usual. I just want to know your thoughts, as well as how long do you guys think should I wait to harvest?
Little extra details. My medium is a compost soil / peat moss/perlite mix, a hundred percent organic, mostly fermented plant juice And lastly the almighty Recharge, it definitely brings the Dank. Thanks guys for all you’re doing, Peace and happy growing.
These plants are far from mature. They’ll put on much more weight in a few weeks. The true bulking and swelling of calyx comes near the very end. The overall size of each bud site depends on a ton a variables.
The info about far red and developing flowers fast has to do with flower initiation.
Those look about right for week 6.
Are you sure they’re milky? I agree with the other guys – those flowers still have a way to go. Zooming in on your pics, its still hard to tell but it doesn’t really look like the trichomes would have such a high proportion of milky ones. I’d let them bulk up anyway before harvest. If you don’t like the effect you’ll know it’s not a strain to run in the future.
Make sure your checking the calyx(the part with the pistils coming out) not the leaves for trichome ripeness. Looking good, lots of trichome production. Give her a little longer to bulk up for sure.
Hopefully your checking with a loop. They can appear to be cloudy when they develop really close together. I thought I had a similar issue but checked with a 60x and it wasn’t as cloudy as I thought. I was even fooled by a 30x loop.
Also, make sure the light on your scope is very bright. It needs to really light up the trichs otherwise clear can appear milky.
