I remember you and Scotty talking about Grow More having a CALmag and magnesium supplement without nitrogen. I can’t find it for sale anywhere. Not looking for a freebie. Do you know where I can get it?
I’m in a flood and drain recirculating system with Canna Coco (next time will probably use rock wool croutons like the CAP’N).
Using Canna Aqua because it was engineered specifically for recirculating systems. It keeps my ph from floating so long as it’s originally set between 5.2 and 6.2. In fact, my ph has been so rock solid between res switches (7-10 days) that I’m actually kinda afraid my girl isn’t experiencing the full ph range to let her fully absorb all of the micro and macro nutrients. Pretty much locked at 5.7.
Of course, I was chasing cal/mag with the coco in veg (second thought maybe i should have used the canna coco instead of the canna Aqua, even though I’m in a recirculating system).
I was using Grow More’s N-Cal-Mg (2-0-0) at about 5ml/gal in veg and that straightened that Calmag shit out, but now I’m in early flower and I need to ditch the extra nitrogen. I kept it in for the first res of the flip, thinking she could make use during the stretch of the extra N from the N-Cal-Mg However, the leaves are starting to curl slightly at the tips, right as the buds are starting to set (just showed sex about 5 days ago) and Im freaking out bc I know how extra N can make your buds deformed and whispy and just non-dank.
Scotty, I’ve heard you say always use equal parts of A&B. Would you be against me using 1:2 A:B? Instead of 3-4-9 (1:1A:B) it would be 1.5-4-6 (1:2 A:B). Don’t you think it makes sense to break that rule to avoid the N tox? Would you recommend anything else?
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I love the parodies. Wish I could buy a CD with all of them. Not sure how the copy right laws work on that, but I’d love to jam to them in my car and not have to search through podcasts. I saw you started releasing the songs as individual podcasts. Guess that works.

General Organics (GH) has CaMg+ and Grow More has a new Flowering Cal-Mag. CaMg+ is derived from calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate (0-0-0). CalMag’s derived from nitrates have nitrogen in them like calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, etc.

The issue is that the Coco A & B is the line that should be used with CANNA coco, despite it being in a recirculating system. Aqua is for recirculating systems that have inert medias. That would be rockwool, Growstones, hydroton or air, aeroponics. The potassum levels are too high for this person, there for he is getting probably a potassium burn and cal-mag deficiency. If he prefers the method, flood and drain, then he needs to change the media. If he prefers the media, coco in this case, then he needs to change the base nutrient to coco. If he does go to the method of using the Coco A & B with the coco media, then we would prefer that he uses a drip system that runs to waste. Coco can work in a flood & drain but it was not designed to work in it and the best results would be achieved with a drain to waste set up. Always use equal parts A & B of all CANNA bases. I hope this helps.
